LANDINGEAR P/L is a family owned business based in the Melbourne inner west suburb of Williamstown.

 


The aviation theme is how Landingear arrived at its name, having originally been Landing Gear t-shirts.

The Aviation theme continues today through Landingear's AirWear range.

Landingear began in 1991 and was originally a part time, home based aviation t- shirt mail order business. Landingears' founders are Jenny Baker and John Allcock.

 

Many weekends and holidays were spent not only printing t-shirts but also travelling to air shows, fly-ins & markets with a variety of aviation t-shirts & caps. From there they branched out into other products such as promotional clothing & work wear.

 

In April 1997 the business went full time and rented a small factory in Williamstown. Since then they have moved twice into bigger premises.

 

Jenny and John operate Landingear with their three staff & pride themselves on their customer service and friendly communication. They consider their long time customers friends not clients.

 

Landingear is active in community service activities in the Williamstown area.
The Jalna Big Bay Swim is the Rotary Club of Point Gellibrand’s biggest event of the year and Landingear organises all of the event merchandise for participants, volunteers and sponsors.

All monies raised go directly to help the nominated charities such as the Challenge Cancer Support Network, Open Family & other local & international charities.

 

In other circles they are also supporters of World Vision, The Friends of the RAAF Museum Point Cook, The Mosquito Aircraft Association of Australia, Williamstown Magic Basketball club and most recently the Auto Horizon FR-1 project lead by Brian Tanti.

 

Having hands on experience in screen printing and embroidery for many years has been invaluable in helping clients with their uniform, work wear or promotional requirements. Also, having the capability in house is invaluable when it comes to important deadlines.
